Keegan Bradley is switching to a new coach for the new year. The world's 20th-ranked golfer told Back9Network's Ahmad Rashad on Friday that he will begin working with longtime instructor Chuck Cook.

"I've been around Chuck Cook for a few years now, playing practice rounds with (Jason) Dufner," Bradley told Rashad. "I'm excited to get working with Chuck and get another opinion of how he thinks I can improve my golf game. He's been around for a long time and I know he has several ways he can help me win."

Cook has previously watched five of his pupils win major championships: Payne Stewart (who won three majors), Corey Pavin, Tom Kite, Mark Brooks, and Dufner, the current PGA Champion. Bradley and Dufner are close friends, a relationship that likely led to Bradley's coaching change.

Bradley, who won the 2011 PGA Championship in a playoff over Dufner, had been coached by Jim McLean since 2008.

When asked about McLean, Bradley said, "Just first and foremost how much I love Jim McLean, that he was a major part of my success as a pro. And I will always use the fundamentals he taught me. Can't thank him enough."

It's not like Bradley is coming off a terrible season, but his money total in 2013 was his lowest since 2010. He ranked 11th on the PGA Tour with $3,636,813, down from $3,910,658 in 2012 (10th) and $3,758,600 in 2011 (13th). Bradley also didn't garner a win in 2013 after collecting two in '11 and one in '12.

Cook joins a coaching "staff" that includes the legendary Michael Jordan, who has unofficially served as Bradley's "mental coach." The basketball legend has tutored Bradley on how to be mentally tougher, and the two frequently play golf together in Jupiter, Fla. Their group often includes fellow Jupiter residents Rashad and Tiger Woods.
