Welcome to The Fringe, Back9Network's daily feature to keep you up-to-date on the best stories happening in golf, social media and pop culture.

Marcus Jordan Teases us With More Jordan Golf Swag

As if Keegan Bradley's ridiculously sick Jordan golf spikes didn't have us salivating enough, now Marcus Jordan is saying things like, "Jordan golf shoes available sooner than you know!" and tweeting pictures of head covers:

Surely, whenever "sooner than you know" actually is, the golf shoe industry is going to explode and everyone will have J's on their feet … on the course. Obviously, the shoes will be a big, huge part of the Jordan golf brand, but thanks to these pictures tweeted by Marcus, we're all left to daydream about what other magical Jordan golf gear might be available.

Ugh, Marcus Jordan, you're such a tease.

Seve Ballesteros' Life Hits the Big Screen

Seve Ballesteros, one of golf's legendary players and personalities, will be immortalized on the big screen in the UK later this month.

Ballesteros passed away in May, 2011 after battling brain cancer. During his career, he was one of the most beloved players in the game's history. He won five majors, was a Ryder Cup hero, and did more for the European Tour -- where he's the all-time wins leader with 50 -- than anyone else ever has. His impact on the game in Europe, Spain especially, was immeasurable.

I've got to say, I wish this would open up in the States. I can't be the only one who badly wants to see this. Netflix, don't fail me now!

Erik Compton Gives Away Customized Wedge for Charity

Fresh off his career-best T-2 finish at the U.S. Open, Erik Compton is in Hartford this week for the Travelers Championship. He took some time out of his hectic schedule to help raise money and bring awareness to a cause very close to his heart by auctioning off a customized Donate Life Titleist Vokey wedge.

Along with being a professional golfer, Compton is also a two-time heart transplant recipient. He's used his celebrity and skills on the golf course to raise awareness and money for organ donation and the Donate Life campaign ever since he turned professional in 2001.

And yes, the "close to his heart" pun was intended.

Out Of Bounds

One of the best things about winning the Stanley Cup is getting to take it around town and do (almost) anything you want with it. Los Angeles Kings stars Alec Martinez and Justin Williams took the cup with them when they visited "Jimmy Kimmel Live" this week. With the trophy's handler watching carefully over it, Kimmel and company tried to figure out exactly what they could do with the cup:

OK, so it's not anything too crazy, but margaritas out of the Stanley Cup is pretty good. Kind of reminds me of all the crazy places golf's major championship trophies have been.
