Donald, Bradley Won't Take Credit For Marcus Jordan's Swing

It's been a busy week in the world of Twitter for Luke Donald and Keegan Bradley. Donald, a man who would best be described as "reserved" in person, has not been shy this week on social media, taking time to twist a thorn in Bradley's side following the Boston Bruins' Game 7 loss, and to poke fun at his good buddy, "Larry Oosthuizen." Bradley, on the other hand, is nearly as much of a "Twitter smack" professional as he is a golf professional.

Anyway, here's the most recent exchange they found themselves in … this time, they also got Michael Jordan's son Marcus and golf-nut/NBA superstar J.R. Smith involved:

No offense to Marcus, who I'm sure is a pretty solid player, but I think neither Bradley nor Donald could possibly be responsible for the swing. I also think that 8-iron looked like it was headed straight for the drink. Am I the only one who saw that?

McDowell To Miss BMW PGA To Be With His Wife

Graeme McDowell has announced that he won't be playing next week in the BMW PGA Championship, the European Tour's marquee event, opting instead to stay in Florida with his pregnant wife.

When the Euro Tour tees it up at Wentworth, it won't be the first time a player has withdrawn from an event to be there for the birth of their child. Heck, Patrick Reed did it this week at the HP Byron Nelson Championship and Hunter Mahan left a tournament he was leading to be with his wife.

Chief executive of the European Tour George O'Grady said in an interview, "I very much appreciated Graeme taking the time to phone me personally to tell me he wouldn't be at Wentworth, but the fact that he wants to spend time with Kristin, who will not be able to travel for the next three months, is entirely understandable."

Congratulations are definitely in order for Mr. McDowell and his decision is a commendable one. What will be interesting going forward is this: If the three-month travel embargo holds true, will the Northern Irishman tee it up at the Open Championship this July at Royal Liverpool? Only time will tell.

Alex Morgan Unleashes Swing & Dance at Topgolf

    alex-myers-article

When in Texas, Topgolf is the place to be. Even U.S. women's soccer star Alex Morgan knows that.

The 24-year-old was in the Houston area this week, taking swings at the popular entertainment driving range franchise. Using a trusty iron, Morgan makes great contact on this shot, which she didn't know was being recorded. That's probably a good thing because otherwise she might have been reluctant to unleash the phenomenal happy dance after seeing the ball take flight. Read More
