Keegan Bradley Generates Some Serious Clubhead Speed

With the U.S. Open just days away, players are trying to get as much time on Pinehurst No. 2 as they can, and dialing in their sticks before playing the year's second major. Judging by the shaft flex in this picture, Keegan Bradley was practicing with a set of girl's junior clubs:

First of all, the photo above might be a little exaggerated by the use of a fish eye lens … but that does not mean that it's fake. There are a lot of naysayers and "ha8ers" on the Internet who love to label everything as fake or staged, but believe me, this pic is real and it's awesome.

Bradley said of the photo on Instagram, "my shafts may be too weak."

You think? If I were you, I'd look into some stiffer shafts for those clubs before you snap one in your back swing. But hey, I can only make suggestions.

San Diego Travelers Can Now Enjoy a Golf Dining Experience

The PGA Tour has long had a presence in American airports with its merchandise stores, but now it's expanding the brand to offer a unique dining opportunity to those golfers who find themselves in transit. The first PGA Tour Grill opened up last week in the San Diego airport and it looks like it won't be the only one.

“We’re excited to welcome PGA Tour Grill’s first airport-based restaurant to San Diego International Airport,” Thella F. Bowens, President/CEO of the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority, said in a press release. “With San Diego’s rich golf history, PGA Tour Grill fits seamlessly into the airport’s brand new concessions core, which strives to bring customers some of the best local, national and international shopping and dining options.”

The restaurant offers a change of pace that golfers on the go will enjoy. Featuring clubhouse-style seating and big screen TV's showing golf around the world, the Grill looks to be a healthier alternative to your typical airport cuisine and provide a different atmosphere for weary travelers.

Expectations are that the Grill will be successful and with HMSHost as a partner, the brand will expand to more airports in the U.S. in the next couple of years.

    Tweet of the Week

We've long known that Rickie Fowler is one of the most colorful players and personalities on the PGA Tour, and last week he took time out to show that personality during a commercial shoot for American Express:

I'm not really sure what kind of job you'd need to wear a suit and a crash helmet, but it appears Fowler has found it in this behind-the-scenes pic he posted. Whatever the story is behind the photo is, now I'm curious and can't wait for the commercial.

It's taken close to three years, but Ben Crane has finally returned to the winner's circle on the PGA Tour. Known more lately as a member of the Golf Boys and for making funny videos, Crane had also been a proven winner on tour before his win at the FedEx St. Jude Classic. He has long been one of the most well-liked personalities despite being one of the more deliberate players on tour, and, without a doubt, his win in Memphis will be one of the most popular of the year.
