Tiger Woods Caps NYC Media Tour at Yankee Stadium
Tiger Woods followed up his “Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” appearance with a whirlwind trip around the Big Apple on Tuesday, talking about everything from his back injury to the Nike Vapor irons he and Rory McIlroy have been promoting.
After sit-downs with various golf outlets, ESPN, a trip to Liberty National Golf Club, and the aforementioned appearance with Fallon, Woods headed down to the Bronx to take in Tuesday night’s Astros/Yankees game:

Woods didn’t spend any time talking to reporters — who can blame him after doing so the entire day — but he did get to enjoy an evening (mostly) away from all the hoopla that comes with being Tiger Woods.
Now, Woods will return to rehabbing his ailing back. With a little less than four months to go before his targeted return for the Northwestern Mutual World Challenge in December, Woods could use a couple days on the couch.

Hunter Mahan Finally Gets his Car for BMW Ace
When it comes to most things, it pays to be good. Sometimes, it also pays to be lucky. In the case of Hunter Mahan and Melyzijah Smith, it’s a little of both.
On Tuesday, Mahan and Smith met up at The Barclays. The two posed for pictures and Mahan showed off the prize he received for making an ace during the 2013 BMW Championship — a brand-new BMW i3:

While I’m sure Smith could use the scholarship money, you’ve got to figure Mahan didn’t need the car. But hey, if you’re going to offer up a brand-new, all-electric BMW i3, guys who are as good as Mahan are bound to bury one sooner than later. In case you’ve forgotten Mahan’s majestic ace from last year, take a look:
Mahan enters this year’s FedExCup in what some would call a season-long slump. Having gone winless, Mahan still begins the playoffs ranked 62nd. He hopes to channel some of last year’s luck into 2014 and ride a wave of low scores and good fortune all the way to East Lake and the Tour Championship next month.

Michelle Wie’s Legend-ary Night
Michelle Wie may not be able to hit golf balls or play on the LPGA Tour right now, but she’s doing anything but laying low during her extended injury break from golf. No, instead Wie is out living life — going to concerts and meeting celebrities like John Legend:
“What an amazing voice and performer! #TheGreek #JohnLegend @jamiekuhn”
Wie is currently on the shelf with a finger injury, which has already caused her to miss the season’s fourth major — the Wegman’s LPGA Championship. In the meantime, we’ll all be glued to her Twitter and Instagram accounts to see what else Wiesy is up to during her extend break.
