Public Relations/Social Media Director

Core Responsibilities:

  • The focus of the role is to lead & develop a pro-active strategies and plan consumer PR across our channel brands supporting the overall marketing objectives. 
  • The PR Manager will play an important part in supporting the execution of the Digital strategy contributing to social media & content marketing strategy - supporting execution through content ideas, tone of voice best practice and supporting “posting” activity.
  • Overall, work closely with Marketing across business functions to develop Strategy & plans to support Back9 business & channel strategies. 
  • To establish a best practice relationship with and to act as the key point of contact for the Central PR team, working with them on the development and promotion of the Back9 brand where relevant, as well as maximizing opportunities to share PR materials and ideas. 
  • Set for all PR activity and measure/report on progress/performance on an ongoing basis. Recommend improvements to innovate and optimize effectiveness of activity and company processes. 
  • Work closely with Marketing to develop, align and integrate Consumer PR strategy & plans to support overall channel objectives. 
  • Develop & leverage strong media relationships in Entertainment to drive high value coverage for channels. 
  • Work closely and feed into the Digital (social & content marketing) Marketing strategy.
  • Supporting the execution of the digital (social & content marketing) strategy contributing to social media strategy and supporting social media execution through content ideas, tone of voice and supporting “posting” activity as well as content marketing.
  • Work alongside the Marketing team to support & add value to Commercial & Marketing Partnerships through strong media relationships. 
  • Pro-active pitching of high value, innovative PR “ideas” to Marketing with associated budgets.
    - Write and/or approve all press releases, briefing documents and collateral required to promote content
  • Devise and lead full range of initiatives pertaining to talent access (coordinating interviews, arranging press junkets etc.) relevant to channels. 
  • Alongside Marketing, manage, develop key PR agency relationships to optimize effectiveness of both process & spend when relevant. 
  • Management of PR agencies when relevant - ensuring value for money from our suppliers and all relevant paperwork is place for the purchase of agency services. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or above
  • Must have a solid pre-existing network with consumer media 
  • Proven PR ability with previous experience of working for entertainment/lifestyle brand within an agency or in-house environment. 
  • Strong and successful PR campaign development with demonstrable success in digital content marketing & social media. 
  • Understanding of the TV industry & power of content/celebrity with solid Entertainment contact base in Consumer Press. 
  • Strong track record in PR, such as running press junkets, and as talent liaison. 
  • Proven ability to lead pro-active Consumer PR strategy, planning and execution in B2C with interest in B2B. 
  • Understanding of Partnership Marketing with experience of developing mutually beneficial partnerships with brands. 
  • Experience of working closely with marketing colleagues and an understanding of marketing methods and strategies. 
  • Digital Media skills: social media, content marketing, strong writing/editing skills. 
  • Excellent written and presentation skills with experience of presenting to clients, senior colleagues & acting as company spokesperson. 
  • Strong editorial and creative skills – able to produce effective written communication, and to critique and develop printed and audio visual creative & design.

Human Resources Director

The Human Resources Director is responsible for providing strategic and operational HR leadership, direction and expertise for Back9Network. This person will provide day-to-day client support and strategic HR solutions for Back9’s vertical teams. 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead and leverage HR processes (incl. Staffing, Benefits, Performance Management, Compensation/Reward Management, Learning & Development, Employee Engagement & Communication) for client groups 
  • Partner/collaborate with leadership team to align and execute HR strategies in support of ad sales initiatives 
  • Manage complex employee relations issues including organizational and structural changes 
  • Develop and implement appropriate change management plans Implement and monitor adherence to HR policies, procedures and practices 
  • Provide advice, counsel and coaching to employees regarding HR policies and procedures 
  • Identify, select, develop and retain world-class talent and ensure a dynamic pipeline

Qualifications:

Digital Account Manager

The Digital Account Manager will manage digital advertising campaigns and relationships with customer accounts. The Account Manager understands customer advertising priorities and strategies. This position will also escalate and troubleshoot issues and demonstrate knowledge and understanding of systems and tools, applications and process. Candidates must be well organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent oral and written communication skills.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Project manages media and advertising revenue with various groups with Sales and Marketing 
  • Accountable for coordinating, testing, uploading and troubleshooting creative assets and third party tags
  • Facilitates screenshot requests and resolves reporting discrepancies 
  • Consistently monitors and reviews all live digital media campaigns to insure site integrity and sponsor campaign functionality
  • Responsible for daily monitoring and optimization of client campaigns 

Basic Qualifications:

Digital Ad Operations, Manager

The Ad Ops Manager will be responsible for all aspects of digital ad campaign management and problem solving. The ideal candidate has proven experience with ad trafficking, reporting, and creative troubleshooting.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Expert knowledge of DART to serve as primary liaison and support for direct sale campaigns 
  • Exhibit an understanding of traffic and performance
  • Thoroughly test and QA all ads prior to launch
  • Work with clients and agencies to manage technical implementation of third party rich media creative
  • Implement all running direct sale campaigns ensuring execution according to IO
  • Proactively monitoring all campaigns for both delivery and performance
  • Recommendation of appropriate campaign optimizations when applicable
  • Become the expert on site specs, ad units and templates

Traffic Coordinator 

The Traffic Coordinator assumes responsibility for the accuracy of spot placement and separation of the log, and front loads each week in an effort to maximize the inventory and ensure inventory is not left unsold. Monitors and notifies appropriate management of inventories that becomes available at the last minute or oversold. Evaluates and takes action on the inventory two or more weeks into the future to ensure the time required to publish each log is minimum. Assists other Commercial Operations personnel when necessary, and works with other departments as required.

Responsible for supporting the clearance of inventory for client purchases of available advertising. This would include maintenance and quality control on data processed through the software systems with an ultimate goal of optimizing inventory and revenue.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Edits and reconciles daily broadcast logs
  • Verifies spot delivery
  • Inputs the titles of client advertisements into database and enters the instructions for ad airing
  • Contacts agencies to obtain/clarify/confirm traffic instructions and delivery information
  • Distributes contract confirmations
  • Completes daily tasks associated with inventory and broadcast logs
  • Manages changes and missing instructions as appropriate.
  • Maximizes billing opportunities by evaluating sold and scheduled inventory and adjusting commercial placement.
  • Reviews the status of a client's advertising schedule. Revises and replaces instructions for advertising broadcast schedules.
  • Communicates regularly and effectively with Sales Department regarding the status of a client's advertising schedule, including commercial advertisements that were not scheduled or broadcast as purchased.
  • Communicates to the appropriate party when regarding late or missing material.
  • Performs month-close update procedures.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

Traffic Manager

Assists other Commercial Operations personnel when necessary, and works with other departments as required.

Essential Job Functions:

UX/Design Manager

Job Description:

The UX/Design manager will be the overall team lead for the entire end-to-end, user-facing presentation layer of the Back9Network brand across multiple digital outlets, including Web and mobile. The person in this role will report directly to the SVP, Digital and provide the full gamut of deliverables necessary to craft the proper user flow, from information architecture and wireframes through mood boards and final, production-level visual design assets. 

Key Activities:

  • Collaborate with product and business owners on setting overall design direction and serve as the primary, foremost advocate for our fans
  • Lead the charge to create and own the ongoing maintenance of the digital style guide to govern all digital media design, collaborating with colleagues on the linear broadcast team to ensure consistency of brand
  • Craft information architecture articulations (e.g., OmniGraffle) to represent proper, effective user-facing structures
  • Create wireframes based on product, project, and business needs to guide product development
  • Generate visual design through multiple iterations, from high-fidelity drafts all the way through final, pixel-perfect production assets, to enable the creation of product experiences 
  • Work with software developers to iterate through builds of new user experiences, taking in feedback and providing solutions
  • Conduct or lead contextual and usability research to hone user requirements, analyze/recommend experience design, and oversee execution of those requirements
  • Act as the team expert on emerging presentation layer experiences across mobile and Web 
  • Lead client meetings to present and review proposed UI strategy at both a strategic and granular, implementation level
  • Work with development leads to ensure any UI/visual design work is compatible across the consumption landscape

Preferred Traits:

  • BS, BFA or BA with a major in design, graphic design, art direction or industrial design; a focus in UX design is a plus
  • 2-5 years of user interface and visual design experience with B2C digital products for the Web; mobile platforms, including native iOS and Android phones and tablets
  • Ideally, some level of experience in designing products for connected devices, such as game consoles or smart TVs
  • Demonstrated ability to work in both Agile and traditional waterfall development methodologies... and you are able to articulate the UX-related pitfalls inherent to each

Front-End Web Developer

The Front-End Web developer will play a key role in growing Back9Network’s digital presence across multiple properties and platforms, working across internal and external resources to craft new experiences for users and leading the charge to build compelling mobile experiences. This role is primarily a development-focused one, but a high level of user interface design and visual design acumen is a huge plus.  

Key Responsibilities:

      • Designing and building new user experiences and templates for the Back9Network Web site, collaborating with internal and external resources for design and project management
      • Developing device-aware and device-specific presentation layers for multiple platforms
      • Integration with content management systems, including WordPress and video platform services
      • Leading the development of native mobile applications for iOS and Android, as well as in-home console devices
      • Quality assurance testing and bug tracking
      • Staying intimately informed of emerging technology and trends -- you can cite three recent examples of great software implementations you love

Preferred Qualifications:

      • Deep familiarity of HTML syntax for multiple specifications, including HTML 5 
      • Hands-on ability to generate HTML, CSS, JavaScript code as well as review and modify existing code and third-party-provided coding

Back-End Web Developer

The Back-End Web developer will play a key role in growing Back9Network’s digital presence across multiple properties and platforms, working across internal and external resources to craft new experiences for users and leading the charge to build compelling mobile experiences. 

Key Responsibilities:

      • Collaborating with front-end engineers to craft new user experiences and templates for Back9Network digital products, collaborating with designers and product managers
      • Hands-on oversight of the full solution development process, from ideation to build-out to launch to refinement
      • Owning the integration and ongoing oversight of critical third-party services, including SAAS solutions for video hosting, authentication
      • Ensuring proper technology infrastructure is in place to support company and product growth 
      • Identifying and vetting solutions and vendors for continued support and growth 
      • Building large-scale data systems using open-source and licensed technologies
